ayumi · Privacy

Your data stays with you.

ayumi is a read-only step tracker. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data.

Health data

With your permission, ayumi reads your step count and walking + running distance from Apple Health. This data is used only to show your activity in the app, widgets, and Apple Watch complications.

ayumi never writes data to Apple Health and never sends Health data off your devices.

Data stored on your devices

ayumi may keep today's latest step and distance values and a rolling cache of the previous 30 days on your device so widgets can show the most recent available data. The iPhone also remembers the last viewed date and step count locally to animate a same-day increase when you reopen the app. Your daily goal and appearance preference are also stored locally. The daily goal may be shared with your paired Apple Watch.

Apart from this temporary widget cache, historical activity is read directly from Apple Health. ayumi does not maintain a separate history database.

Tracking and third parties

ayumi has no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party SDKs. Your Health and usage data is not shared with the developer or any third party.

Retention and control

Locally stored ayumi data remains on your devices until it is replaced or the app is removed. Deleting ayumi removes its local app data.

You can revoke ayumi's access to Health data at any time in Apple Health settings. Because ayumi does not store user data on a server, there is no server-side personal data to request for deletion.
